Nam's Remote Getting Started

Nam's Remote

The Nam's Remote Bundle consists of two Parts:

One is the iPhone Application, which you can buy in the AppStore and the second part is the NamsRemoteServer Application, which you can download for your PC and Mac for free above.

First you should start the NamsRemoteServer application and adjust the Settings to your convenience, such as the Keyboard Layout and whether you want to have Passcode Security enabled or not.

After that, you have to launch the Nam's Remote Application on your iPhone or iPod Touch. To establish a connection you have to type in the IP Address of your PC or Mac. If you don't know the IP Address, you can try the IP Address on the Main-Tab of the NamsRemoteServer Application.

NOTE: Both, the PC/Mac and the iPhone/iPod Touch, have to be in the same subnet for a connection. If that's not the case, you can create an Ad-Hoc Network and connect the devices this way as well.

Once you have established the connection, it depends on whether you have activated Passcode Security or not. If so, you have to type in 4-Digit Passcode to ensure that just the person with visual contact can connect to the PC/Mac. Of course, you can also turn off Pascode Security to your own risk, giving you much more comfort.

Now, the devices are connected and good to go.
